Oh the world of travel hacking…how did I ever live without it? My introduction to world of churning and traveling for pennies on the dollar came from The Frugal Travel Guy. I found the site in 2011 and I’ve never looked back. At its most basic, it is leveraging my good credit to travel on the cheap. And boy have I ever!
I’ve enjoyed multiple trips to Maui, a family trip to Japan, Amsterdam, Paris, Belgium, Great Britain, Costa Rica, and lots of US travel as well including, Wisconsin, Idaho, Oregon, New York and Nevada. And, I’m looking forward a traveled filled new year that will include visits to Arizona, Colorado, Washington D.C., New Orleans, Austria and Hungary. It fills me with wonder and gratitude that I’ve had the opportunity to visit so many wonderful places. Of course it does come with quite a bit of work. But it’s work I love.
I started with The Frugal Travel Guy but I’ve added quite a few more blogs to my daily diet. You can find a myriad of different views and types at Boarding Area. I want to know more. So I read and search and sometimes just daydream about travel. The image above is of a beach in Iceland. It looks like a stunning destination and is entirely possible with some planning and hacking. Of course I love to share my travels with others which almost always include my husband and a revolving door of other family and friends. Shared experiences are just better, in my opinion. Together we discover, learn and enjoy each place we’re fortunate enough to experience.
Travel is the perfect fit for my curious mind.
